Noise is an Indian brand dealing in smartphone accessories and they have been slowly expanding their true wireless earphones range called Noise Shots. The new offering from the company is Noise Shots X3 Bass – a true wireless earphone aimed at bass lovers.
One of the things that make the X3 Bass stand out from the crowd is its compact design. Both earbuds also are small in size and therefore do not protrude out from the ear when in use. We also liked the secure fit of the earbuds – they didn’t get loose or fall out during running/jogging. What we didn’t like is that the earbuds didn’t have touch controls, instead, they have a large single button on the rear – every time you press the button, you push the earbud inside your ear. Around the button is a coloured ring for added style and you can choose from various colour options as per your liking. The earbuds also have a small LED indicator which shows battery status. Since the earbuds are IPX4 certified, they can easily handle sweat and water splashes - great for use during swimming.
The charging case is sleek in design – you can carry it in your pocket easily. However, its glossy finish tends to attract a lot of scratches quickly. We liked that it has magnet lock for the earbuds to fall in place for charging. Also, the top lid locks in the case, this ensures that the earbuds don’t fall out. There is also a battery level indicator on the inside and a micro USB charging port on the back of the case. However, due to the 1,500mAh battery inside it, the case feels heavy to hold.
Noise Shots X3 Bass definitely lives up to its name in terms of the bass output. It is one of the few true wireless earphones that deliver thumping bass and handles the low frequencies very well. Bass lovers would immediately like this one in our opinion. Trouble is that at high volumes, the bass tends to overpower the high frequencies as well as vocals – as long as you stay below 80% volume you won’t face this issue. It's only with music that we faced this issue of overpowering bass. The issue is not there while watching movies or playing games. The in-ear design of the earbuds also provides a good amount of noise isolation when used – this leads to a more immersive audio experience. For voice calls, while Shots X3 offers stereo audio (output in both ears) but the microphone fails to deliver. We constantly had to speak at a higher than usual level and even then, we got complains of being inaudible.
We got a battery life of close to two and half hour of continuous usage from the earphones. The charging case is capable of charging the earphones more than 10 times which is impressive. In our usage, we only had to charge the case once a week. Overall, the Noise Shots X3 Bass proves to be a great true wireless earphone option for users who prefer heavy bass and demand excellent battery life.
