Kareena Kapoor explains why she avoids negative people
In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, Kareena spoke about being mindful of her emotional space and protecting her energy. The actress said she makes a conscious effort to stay away from negativity. According to her, if she senses that someone carries a negative mindset or does not align with her positive outlook, she prefers to keep her distance. She explained that she does not wish to engage with people who bring her down, adding that life is too short to spend time in unpleasant company.Kareena further shared that choosing the right people around you plays a big role in staying happy. She emphasised that she surrounds herself with those who operate on the same “happiness level” as her. In her view, "life is too short, you need to surround yourself with people who are on the same positive level as you."
However, the actress was quick to clarify that positivity does not mean a perfect life. She noted that no one’s life is entirely free of problems. "Nobody’s life is 100% positive, no matter what you see, even if it’s the biggest of stars being photographed." Kareena pointed out that just because celebrities are seen smiling in public does not mean everything is smooth behind the scenes. Everyone, she said, has their own struggles and challenges to deal with.
She added that difficulties are a part of life and must be faced head-on. Instead of dwelling on what is going wrong, she believes in making the most of what she has. Kareena explained that she consciously avoids negativity because she already has plenty on her plate, both personally and professionally. For her, focusing on growth and gratitude is far more productive than entertaining toxic energy.
