If you still have not watched the latest season, then you may want to stop here. There are spoilers about the important story arc:
Netflix has not renewed Nobody Wants This for Season 4, but viewers are anticipating much more drama, fun, and warmth.
Here are some story arcs that are expected to develop in the next season:
- Joanne and Noah’s family life: Joanne finally converts and is now Jewish. She is still learning about Rabbi Noah’s traditions and family rituals. After the conversion ritual, the couple holds an impromptu wedding at the beach. They are elated to start their new life together, but Joanne’s new mother-in-law Bina may have some other plans. She may still want to hold a huge wedding, as she kept forcing the couple to do everything her way. Joanne may have given up and agreed to accept Bina’s overbearing demands and hold the wedding in her backyard, but the next step might be having children. Bina might pressure them into planning a family as soon as possible.
- Joanne’s podcast career: Joanne had been talking about her failed relationships and then her romantic story with Rabbi Noah in most of the episodes. But in Season 3, her career took a backseat; she was more focused on being the perfect live-in partner and daughter-in-law. She was jealous of Morgan in many episodes, but she handled it pretty well.
- Morgan and Sasha: The will they/won’t they story arc finally happened and it gave the fans the moment they had been waiting for the last 2 seasons. But no, it didn’t go as smoothly as it was expected. After Morgan left Sasha in New York and then proposed to him to be his boyfriend and Sasha rejected her, one thing that changed the plot was Esther. While she was finally focusing on her career and found a decent boyfriend, her one night with Sasha blew up the entire story arc. In the final episode, Esther finds out about Morgan and Shasha and is really upset about it. On the other hand, Morgan might have realised that if Sasha is still running behind his estranged wife, he might now be worth falling for.
- Morgan’s ‘Make Them’ note: Morgan had various moments to rule the show this time and she really did it perfectly. From the line that she wants to ‘look devastating’ for her interview with Andy Cohen to telling Sasha she loves him, she had brilliant character development. After her failed ‘Make Them’ book, she may now focus on her television career. Viewers may want her and Sasha to get together but a better story would be that she builds something of her own instead of running behind a boy again.
- Sasha’s choice: It might not be like Sophie’s choice, but he really needs to step up and decide. At one point, he says he has a huge crush on Morgan and then when Esther comes back into the picture, he can’t stop swooning about it. Esther might be his comfort but Morgan could be his love. Asking Morgan to be his friend after rejecting her was clearly the wrong move. So he needs to to take a decision and own it up.
