Nobel gaffe: When Malala became 'masala' and 'malaria'
Jackky’s masala typo was hilarious enough to overshadow his ‘noble price’ faux pas and we’re not sure Naomi was aware of the errors in her ‘noble’ peace price.

A look at some other gaffes resulting from 'autocorrect' or just foggy memory:
Naomi Campbell, supermodel (and expert phone hurler)
Congratulations malaria on your #noblepeaceprize #2014 #Respect 3joy #ithalljuststarted
Jackky Bhagnani, actor (only because his dad is a producer)
Such good news to hear about masala and the noble price. My speech In #youngistaan was inspired by her!!
Thankfully, both apologised for the wrong spellings.
Jackky’s masala typo was hilarious enough to overshadow his ‘noble price’ faux pas and we’re not sure Naomi was aware of the errors in her ‘noble’ peace price and ‘it hall just started’ hash tags either.
While these two errors can be attributed to tech, a couple of other famous blunders were good old slips of the tongue.
Osama to Obama
TV moderator Bob Schieffer famously referred to terrorist Osama bin Laden as ‘Obama bin Laden’ on national television during a presidential debate on foreign policy. Luckily, he realised his mistake almost immediately and saved face with some witty statements thereafter.
Sourav to Gaurav Ganguly
Those in the know also tell us that Chandu Borde, the veteran Indian cricketer, suffered memory lapses in his golden years. As the manager of the team on India’s tour of England in 2007, he referred to Sourav Ganguly as Gaurav Ganguly.
