Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have officially announced their separation, bringing clarity to months of speculation around their relationship. The couple shared a joint message that focused on mutual respect, co-parenting, and moving forward without conflict.

In his Instagram Story, Jay Bhanushali shared the joint message revealing that the couple has chosen to part ways on their journey through life while continuing to support each other. He emphasised that peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always guided their relationship and remain central even now. For the sake of their children, Tara, Khushi, and Rajveer, the note stated that both Jay and Mahhi are committed to being the best parents and friends possible, doing whatever it takes to ensure their well-being.

The note also addressed the curiosity and assumptions that often follow such announcements. They clarified that there is 'no villain' in their story and no negativity attached to the decision. They urged people not to jump to conclusions, underscoring that they have consciously chosen peace over drama and sanity above everything else. According to the message, the mutual respect between them remains intact, and they intend to continue supporting one another as friends, as they always have.

For the unversed, Tara is their biological daughter, while Khushi and Rajveer are their foster children.

How did Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij meet?

Jay Bhanushali has previously spoken about how he first met Mahhi Vij and how quickly their relationship took shape. In an earlier interview with ETimes, Jay shared that they met during a night out clubbing. Within three months, he was certain he wanted to be in a committed relationship. On December 31, 2009, he proposed to Mahhi, and the couple tied the knot the following year in 2010.

Jay also recalled that he had invited many people to the wedding, but very few turned up because of his reputation at the time. He explained that meeting the right person changed everything for him, saying Mahhi transformed his life, and after their daughter Tara, she became the central reason he found meaning and direction in life.

Beyond their personal lives, both Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have built successful individual careers over the years. Jay has been a familiar face for years, as well as hosting popular reality shows. In addition to television, Jay has also worked in Bollywood. He made his film debut with Hate Story 2 in 2014 and later appeared in films such as Desi Kattey and Ek Paheli Leela.

Mahhi Vij’s journey in the entertainment industry began early. She started her career as a model, gradually making her way into music videos before transitioning to television. Mahhi made her acting debut in 2006 with a supporting role in the TV serial Akela.
