No ties with Pakistan till cross-border terrorism ends: Gautam Gambhir
India are slated to play Pakistan in the Champions Trophy next year. There are already question marks hovering over the match.

As cricket stars in both nations are followed as demi-gods, it was time a cricketer spoke on this burning issue. The Kolkata Knight Riders' skipper, Gautam Gambhir spoke exclusively to Times Now and clearly stated that there should be no cricket match between the two countries till the issue is not sorted.

He said, ''I feel people need to put themselves in the shoes of the jawans who have lost their lives, someone has lost his father and somebody has lost their son.''jawans who have lost their lives, someone has lost his father and somebody has lost their son.''
BCCI Chief Anurag Thakur too had earlier said that though he can speak for himself and not the board, he does not think that India should play any series with Pakistan until the situation is back to normal.
“In the context of what has happened even considering such a thought (to play with Pakistan) is not appropriate,” Thakur added.
Cricketing relations have hit a low between India and Pakistan since the 2008 terror attacks in Mumbai, which resulted in Pakistan being the only major Test nation without representation in the now defunct Champions League Twenty20 and IPL, much to the Pakistan Cricket Board's dissatisfaction.
However, India is slated to play Pakistan in the Champions Trophy next year. Though now there is speculation over the match.
