#PadmavatiRow: Sanjay Leela Bhansali's team clears the air, says no romance sequence
Two days after Sanjay Leela Bhansali was assaulted during the shooting of his new film ' Padmavati' in Jaipur's Jaigarh Fort, the film-maker's team has assured the group, Rajput Karni Sena, that "there is no romantic dream sequence or any romantic scene between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji."

Activists of a local organisation on Friday had demonstrated against Bhansali's film for allegedly distorting historical facts.

Shobha Sant, the CEO of Bhansali films, also took to Twitter to clear the air about any romance sequence.

The assault caused widespread anger in the film industry who took to social media to show their support for the director.

The film features Deepika Padukone as queen Padmavati opposite Shahid Kapoor who is Ratan Singh. Ranveer Singh portrays the character of Alauddin Khilji in the movie, which marks Bhansali's return to period drama after 'Bajirao Mastani'.

The cast also shared their thoughts on Twitter, with Singh clarifying that they were making the movie 'keeping in mind the sensitivities and emotions of the people of Rajasthan and the Rajput community'.
