No hard feelings! All's well between AM Naik, Mukesh Ambani and Kumar Birla

AM Naik, the non-executive chairman of L&T, in his book, has documented the ways he thwarted hostile takeover bids from the Ambanis and Birlas in early 2000s when the company had almost slipped from his hands.

Considering that, it wouldn’t be surprising if there was still some friction between them. However, clearly, it’s all water under the bridge, when we spotted Mukesh Ambani, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Naik come together for an event in Mumbai.

In fact, Birla found a special mention in Naik’s speech too. “I see Mr Birla here and I want to specially mention his name as we had a good friendship for years,” he said.

Birla arrived just as the event started and left over 30 minutes later, soon after Naik finished his speech.
