'No finger-pointing or blame-games': Anand Mahindra lauds United Sikhs' efficient, selfless work in pandemic

Aid has been pouring in, not just from different parts of the country but also the world, to help India fight its deadly second wave of the novel coronavirus that has overburdened the country's crumbling healthcare system. Oxygen concentrators and medicines are being flown in and temporary hospitals being setup, even as political blame games continue in our pandemic ravaged homeland that has recorded more than 20 million Covid infections.

At a time, when actions are required more than empty words, Mahindra Group boss Anand Mahindra took to Twitter to laud the quiet, efficient, selfless work being done by the nonprofit organisation United Sikhs.

Sharing a video showing a new Covid facility set up by the group in Bengaluru, the 66-year-old India Inc tycoon, said, "No whining. No finger-pointing or blame-games. No chest-thumping either. They just get down to helping others. Quietly, efficiently, selflessly."


He went on to add that he learns from them every day.

"This is the only way to defeat not just Covid, but every other problem our country might face... ," Mahindra concluded.


The organisation has converted the Koramangla Indoor Stadium into a Covid facility, with 10 beds in each cubicle, with a total of 200 cubicles. The group will provide free medicines and oxygen supply to patients at the facility.
