According to an ETV Bharat report, he was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a disease that weakens bones. Raised by Surekha and Santosh Kumar, who both served as teachers in a government school in Kailash Nagar, Ramana faced circumstances that prevented him from enrolling in a conventional school. Instead, his learning journey began within the walls of his home, where his mother and grandmother took on the role of educators. Through creative methods such as illustrated charts, engaging stories, and lessons drawn from religious scriptures, they taught him the fundamentals of reading and writing. Later, he pursued his secondary education through the open schooling system and successfully passed his Class 10 examinations with assistance from a scribe.
With just one hand, he learned web browsing on his mobile phone. He later completed an AI-based digital marketing course and started his innings as a digital marketer.
Today, he is Digital Marketing Lead at a company and earning Rs 6 lakhs (Rs 50,000 per month) per year.
“Taking care of him never felt like a burden. We are blessed to have him. Today, seeing him succeed in life despite the challenges gives us immense happiness,” told his proud mother to ETV Bharat.
Venkataraman’s story proves that nothing is impossible provided you have determination and passion.
