This doll is no ‘Child’s Play.' A delicate-looking antique doll has now gained infamy for reportedly attacking 17 men.
The doll, which is reportedly possessed by the spirit of a vengeful bride named Elizabeth, has become the focal point of numerous paranormal incidents at the Haunted Objects Museum in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
The doll, which has earned a notorious reputation as the "most haunted" in the world, is alleged to have attacked at least 17 men, some of whom have reported sustaining physical injuries, according to the New York Post.
Lee Steer, a 37-year-old paranormal investigator, and the museum's owner acquired the doll for £866 on eBay after learning of its supposed hostility towards men.
During an investigation in the museum’s "bridal doll room," Steer himself became a target of the doll’s alleged aggression, experiencing a burning sensation on his neck. Later, he discovered scratches on his back, which witnesses described as resembling a pentagram.
The doll’s disturbing behavior is not limited to physical assaults. Steer claims that the doll has also triggered fire alarms, moved objects within the room, and caused electronic disturbances in video recordings. During one paranormal investigation, a perfume bottle was reportedly flung across the room, and the words "bride" and "haunting" mysteriously appeared on the video footage.
Another paranormal investigator, Jon-Paul Kenny, 34, had a similarly unsettling experience with the doll while filming a TikTok live session in the museum.
Kenny described feeling a sudden tug on his shirt as if someone had grabbed him from behind, despite being alone in the room with only his girlfriend and the doll. "I felt something grab my shirt and touch my skin," Kenny recalled. "It was definitely the bridal doll that did this to me."
The origins of the doll’s apparent animosity towards men remain a mystery. Steer speculated that the spirit inhabiting the doll might have been mistreated by a man during her life, or that her wedding day ended in tragedy, causing her to haunt the bridal doll.
Sarah Carter, 32, Steer’s partner, confirmed that the doll’s malevolent actions are primarily directed towards men. "The doll has moved objects in the room while I was present, but it has only scratched males," she explained. Due to her discomfort around the doll, Carter now avoids the bridal doll room entirely.
