NMACC inauguration: Nita Ambani welcomes starry guests with a performance, Isha & Akash-Shloka go traditional; Anant-Radhika twin in black

Hosts of the evening, Nita and Mukesh Ambani posed for the shutterbugs before the event.
The grand opening of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) was a star-studded affair.

Global and desi personalities like supermodel Gigi Hadid, Tom Holland with Zendaya, Penelope Cruz, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra with singer-husband Nick Jonas, Rajinikanth, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh with Deepika Padukone, Sidharth Malhotra with Kiara Advani, and Saif Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor Khan, were among the guests who attended the event on Friday evening.

The Ambani family was also in full attendance at the opening of India's first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural space project.


Businesswoman Nita Ambani, along with her husband and India's richest man Mukesh Ambani, turned host and welcomed guests at the gala. For the ceremony, the Reliance Industries Limited Chairman opted for a classy all-black Jodhpuri suit. The philanthropist, on the other hand, looked stunning in a royal blue saree, featuring a floral motif made with intricate zari work.

For the musical theatrical show 'The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation', Mrs Ambani took to the stage to enthral the audience with her epic performance. She changed her outfit to a red-pink lehenga.

Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani arrived at the venue with his wife Shloka Mehta. While Ambani Jr kept it classy in a bottle green kurta with intricate embroidery, Shloka opted for a regal look with a vintage heirloom saree in shades of pastel pink and gold.

Meanwhile, Isha Ambani, who welcomed her twin and took charge of Reliance Retail last year, wore a custom outfit, featuring heavy gold work, by Anamika Khanna at the NMACC launch event.

Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Nita-Mukesh and head of RIL's energy business, was twinning with his fiancee Radhika Merchant. Anant looked dapper in an all-black Jodhpuri suit with diamond-studded buttons and a brooch.

On the other hand, Merchant went for a vintage look for the gala. With hairstyles from the '60s, the young entrepreneur channelled her vintage style in a monochrome saree by Shahab Durazi for the event.

The guest list also included Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, her daughter Aradhaya, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Vidya Balan, Athiya Shetty as well as veterans Jeetendra and Neetu Kapoor.

Besides the musical event, the inauguration event featured three more specially curated art and craft shows - 'Swadesh', 'India in Fashion' and 'Sangam Confluence'.

NMACC is home to three performing arts spaces: the 2,000-seater Grand Theatre, the 250-seater Studio Theatre, and the 125-seater The Cube.

The centre also features the Art House, a four-storey dedicated visual arts space built as per global museum standards to house a shifting array of exhibits and installations from the finest artistic talent across India and the world.
