NMACC inauguration: Nita Ambani welcomes starry guests with a performance, Isha & Akash-Shloka go traditional; Anant-Radhika twin in black

Power couple Nita and Mukesh Ambani turned hosts for the launch of India's first-of-its-kind, multi-disciplinary cultural hub - Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) in Mumbai. While Mrs Ambani opted for a royal blue saree with intricate zari work, India's richest man kept it classy in a black Jodhpuri suit.

The Ambani children - Isha, Akash and Anant - made heads turn with their stylish looks. While Isha opted for a white ensemble with cooper work, her father-in-law wore a black Achkan. On the other hand, Akash opted for a bottle green kurta and his better-half Shloka Mehta dazzled in a white-red saree with gold embroidery. Anant and his fiancee Radhika Merchant were twinning in black.

Days after wearing matching black outfits at Indian Sports Honours, star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were delightful in their twinning white attire. While Singh's silk kurta-pyjama brightened the day, the 'Piku' star left everyone in awe with her stunning gold embellished Anamika Khanna ensemble.

Union Minister Smriti Irani, dressed in a black saree, attended the grand event with her husband Zubin and daughter Zoish. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis with his wife Amruta, and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray along with his wife Rashmi and politician-son Aaditya also marked their attendance.

Actor Aamir Khan, dressed in a green kurta, attended the event along with his family members - son Junaid, daughter Ira with fiance Nupur Shikhare, and son Azad.

Actress Alia Bhatt was spotted with her actress-mother Soni Razdan, producer-father Mahesh Bhatt and her author-sister Shaheen. Actress Neetu Kapoor, who is Alia's mother-in-law, attended the event solo.

The NMACC inauguration saw many famous couples, dressed in their best, at the venue. The first-of-its-kind culture centre, named after philanthropist Nita Ambani, will be inaugurated on March 31 in Mumbai. The landmark is located in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, within the Jio World Centre. The four-storeyed building will be dedicated to performing and visual arts.

Keeping in mind India's traditions and heritage in mind, the doors to Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) will open with a spectacular three-day launch - The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation (March 31), India in Fashion (April 1) and Sangam Confluence (April 2).

The grand musical night (March 31) will be held at the 2,000-seater Grand Theatre. Acclaimed playwright Feroz Abbas Khan will open the ceremony with over 350+ artistes and a 55-piece live orchestra. The theatrical extravaganza will also see performances by choreographers Shiamak Davar and Vaibhavi Merchant, and music composer-duo Ajay and Atul Gogavle.

The Grand Theatre, also known as NMACC's crown jewel, offers state-of-the-art facilities and a spectacular lotus-themed chandelier ceiling made with 8,400 Swarovski crystals.

Modelled after the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, witnessing performance art is a delight at the Grand Theatre. Each element of the venue, from its movable seating arrangement to special programmable lighting, gives a world-class production value to shows, musicals and plays.

Fashion meets art on April 1 with 'India in Fashion' - curated by costume expert Hamish Bowles. The exhibit will trace the influence of India’s sartorial traditions in textiles and jewellery on global fashion spanning the 18th-21st century. The show will see creations by designers Manish Malhotra and Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla.

Spread across 16,000 square feet, the Art House is a four-storey visual arts space that will be used to display the works of visionary Indian and international artists.

Sangam Confluence, to be held on April 2, is being curated by cultural theorist Ranjit Hoskote and former director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Jeffrey Deitch. Sangam Confluence - a group art shows - will celebrate diverse cultural traditions at Art House. The exhibit will feature works of 10 Indian contemporary artists and western artists influenced by India.

Another special space has been created to celebrate art and culture - The Studio Theatre. The intimate space is designed for cutting-edge experiences and performances. The soundproof space comprises of Dolby Atmos Surround Sound System, making performances epic.
