Nicole Kidman stays in touch with adopted kids through texts

LOS ANGELES: Nicole Kidman's split from Tom Cruise has not stopped her from being in touch with their adopted kids, Connor and Bella Cruise, as the actress still makes sure to text them regularly.

The 48-year-old "The Paperboy" star said it is very important for her to be close to her children, reported Us magazine.

"I have four children, so to stay in touch with them it's very important. I'm definitely engaged in it but I don't let it rule my life," Kidman said. Kidman and Tom Cruise, 53, adopted Bella, 22, and Connor, 20, after they tied the knot in 1990. The couple called off their marriage in 2000.
