NextShark is a news aggregator but one that focuses on global news for the Asian youth. The content is a mix of viral news, happenings, pop culture, food, travel, style and so on. They have a website but their news apps are particularly interesting because of the slick, ad-free design.
The app is responsive, loads fast and shows you different types of media (including linked videos and animated GIFs) within each article. There’s also a night mode that switches to a black theme for easy reading. You can switch between different categories of news but there is no search bar.
You don’t need to create an account to start using it and you can also share articles and create bookmarks for later reading. You only need to create an account if you want to comment or favourite articles.
The app shows you different types of media withing each article.
