Newlyweds Ira Khan-Nupur Shikhare to hold grand reception at NMACC: Aamir Khan to host 2,500 guests- including Ambanis, 9 cuisines on the menu!

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira and her long-time beau Nupur Shikhare, became the first B’town couple to wed in 2024. After a low-key intimate ceremony in Mumbai, the duo had a fairy-tale wedding in Udaipur that lasted from January 6-January 10.

The newlyweds will now host a lavish reception in Mumbai. The event will take place sometime on Saturday and will be attended by the who’s who of the tinseltown.

Ira-Nupur’s Grand Reception To Be Held At NMACC

According to an India Today report, the grand reception will be held at NMACC venue (owned by the Ambanis). About 2,500 guests will be present at the event which will take place at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) venue.

A Look At The Sumptuous Menu

As per the report, the event will have an enviable menu consisting of no less than nine dishes! This will include Gujarati cuisine, Maharashtrian, and Lucknowi fare.

A Starry Affair!

According to an ETimes report, the event will have some of the biggest names of Bollywood showing up. The guest list includes illustrious names such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Akshay Kumar, etc.

Aamir Khan Gets Emotional …

The normally reticent Khan finally unleashed his emotions as a father. Taking to Instagram, the ‘3 Idiots’ star told the media, “My emotion was like a shehnai. It’s an instrument played in shaadis. Shehnai mein ek quality hoti hain ki who apko thodi si khushi bhi deti hain aur thodi si udasi bhi deti hain. Combo, uska ek mishran hota hain emotions ka shehnai mein. So that’s my emotions (My feelings resembled a shehnai, a musical instrument commonly played at weddings. The shehnai possesses a unique quality of evoking both a hint of joy and a touch of melancholy. In essence, it blends emotions in a harmonious combination, much like the music of a shehnai. That's how I would describe my emotions)."
