New Nexus 9 and Android L to be released in October?

We have been hearing reports regarding the launch of HTC Nexus 9 for quite a while now. Now, folks at Android Authority have managed to gather that the HTC Nexus 9 along with another mobile device might be making its debut in October. They have reported that, "Thanks to two different sources familiar with Google's plans, we have learned that the HTC Nexus 9 will be unveiled on either October 15 or the 16.

Additionally there is mention of new phone hardware (possibly the rumoured Moto Nexus?) and the unveiling of 'a new software initiative', which likely refers to Android L's final release." The report also states that though the devices will be unveiled in October, Android L might come to the market only by November.

There has been buzz regarding the HTC Nexus 9, but we are wondering which will be the second smartphone. Could it possibly be the Moto Nexus or the Moto Droid or could it be a device made by some other vendor? As per reports, the next Nexus device is a Motorola-made, 5.92-inch behemoth.

The specs that have been leaked include a hand-torturing 1440p display, Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.
