New NASA app to teach kids rocket science
National Aeronautics and Space Administration ( NASA) has lots of cool apps that take children on a journey to a much-bigger world of space science. The US space agency launched a new app to make kids aware of how rockets are launched.

The free app known as LSP Activity Book teaches kids about the mission planning process and the precise measurements behind creating the right kind of launch vehicle. Notably, NASA’s Launch Services Programme (LSP) prepares unmanned spacecraft for launch.

The app has a character named ‘Peter the Payload’ that guides children through the online colouring activity book. As per media reports, kids can colour 24 NASA pictures.

They have a choice of 14 colours and can also select several different colouring methods.

A crossword makes children familiar about the solar system, and an ‘asteroid maze’ mimics asteroid belts that spacecrafts navigate.

When some activities are completed, the app provides feedback and kids can get a certificate of achievement once they ‘complete the mission’.
