New musical on Michael Jackson's life coming to Broadway

It is being written by Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage with Tony award winner Christopher Wheeldon attached as the director and choreographer.
Wheeldon is best known for adapting the 1951 film 'An American in Paris' into a Broadway musical. The show won several Tony Awards, with Wheeldon picking up the trophy for Best Choreography.
The Broadway musical will be the third stage production based on Jackson, who died in 2009, after two Cirque du Soleil shows -- 'Michael Jackson ONE', that has been running for the last five years in Las Vegas, and 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour'.
Apart from these, a documentary, "Michael Jackson's This Is It", was released a few months after his death and "Michael Jackson's Journey From Motown to Off the Wall", a Spike Lee documentary was released in 2016.
