Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has decided to prioritise her babies and work from her US home.

Punjab Kings co-owner confirmed on Friday that she will not attend the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Mega Auction in Bengaluru on Saturday. The new mother, who welcomed twins via surrogacy last year in November, wants to stay with her 'little ones' and take care of them.

In her short note for the IPL fans, she shared that the last couple of days have been hectic for her amid discussions for the auction and all things cricket with the Punjab cricket team.

The 47-year-old asked her fans for player suggestions or recommendations and who they would like to see wearing the red jersey this year.

The cricket lover, who lives with her husband Gene Goodenough and babies (Jia and Gia) in Los Angeles, left no stone unturned to catch up all the IPL auction action online.

Alongside a picture of herself with her child, Zinta said that holding her 'cute warm baby' in her arms feels a lot better than clenching the red auction paddle. She said she was anxious to see the new Punjab team.

"On a serious note, my heart is racing and I cannot wait for our new PBKS squad. All the best Punjab Kings. Let’s execute our plans and stay focused," she wrote.

The actress has been live-tweeting the updates from Punjab's official Twitter handle.

In the auction, India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan was acquired by Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore. Punjab also bought Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada for Rs 9.25
