New CEO Roland Folger to launch Mercedes S600 Maybach

After Mercedes Benz India announced its change of command from Eberherd Kern as the CEO to another Mercedes veteran Roland Folger in August, the German manufacturer is all set to introduce its new head formally. The launch of the S600 Maybach sedan next week will be a rare occasion, with both Kern and Folger present at the event.

Kern, under whose leadership Mercedes Benz gained the top position in India among luxury car manufacturers, is moving to another role in Europe. Meanwhile, Folger, who is known for a snazzy sense of style, comes to India from Malaysia. From the skyscraper city Kuala Lumpur, he will now be moving base to Pune, where Mercedes Benz India is headquartered.
