New and improved PCR vans to improve security in Delhi
The Delhi Police is asking people for suggestions to revamp the PCR vans of their North East unit. Here's what Delhi's designers would want them to look like.

Alpana-Neeraj
The car is painted in red, white and black, which are the typical colours of many northeastern textiles. 'north east police' is written in bold so that the message comes across clearly, along with the helpline number. there is also a delhi police logo and a map of northeast India.
Kanikka Salluja
Our s.u.v. is made in bulletproof metal in metallic grey colour.we did that for safety reasons and also because we wanted the car to be visible from a distance. we used our staple metal surface ornamentation on the vehicle because metal represents strength, power and courage.
Jenjum Gadi
The north east is the land of tribes and each tribe is distinguished by the colour and weave pattern in their garments. one can tell which tribe someone belongs to just by looking at their garment. so i decided to use these colours and patterns while designing the pcr vans.
Manish Tripathi
The check pattern is derived from the textile weave pattern of northeast india, while the colour is derived from delhi's pcr vans. the spear and one-horn rhino logo is derived from the lifestyle of the people living there. the striped font is used to show the diversity of the region and its people, while the red strap is meant to be in reflective paint.
