Netflix crashes after 'Stranger Things 4' volume 2 release, users flood Twitter with memes

On Friday, the streaming giant released volume 2 of 'Stranger Things' season 4.

Netflix went down and crashed on the app across the world. Several users shared screenshots on Twitter of the outage message they received on their device.

After a long wait, the four season of 'Stranger Things' arrived on Netflix in two parts, with the final volume releasing earlier this week. The sci-fi horror drama created by the Duffer Brothers enjoys a huge fan following across the world.

Needless to say, there was a massive crowd of fans waiting patiently to binge the show. So when Netflix crashed on Saturday, right when the weekend kicked in and people were seated comfortably at home and ready to binge their favourite show, they weren't happy.

On Friday, the streaming giant released volume 2 of 'Stranger Things' season 4. But many people could not log in, while some could not even load the finale episodes of the sci-fi thriller. So people took to social media platforms to figure out the situation and understand if others were facing similar issues on Netflix.

According to DownDetector, Netflix went down and crashed on the app across the world. Several users shared screenshots on Twitter of the outage message they received on their device.

The streaming platform soon resolved the issue.

'Stranger Things' season 4 already set the record as the No. 1 English-Language series on the service in its first four weeks of release, as per Netflix. The data was based on total hours watched.
