Neetu Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Daadi Ki Shaadi, and during the film’s promotions, the veteran actress opened up about an emotional moment involving her son Ranbir Kapoor. Neetu revealed that Ranbir became deeply worried about her safety while she was shooting in Shimla during the India–Pakistan conflict linked to Operation Sindoor in May 2025.

What started as a peaceful outdoor schedule in the hills slowly turned into a memorable experience for the entire cast and crew. Unlike regular film shoots where actors mostly remain inside vanity vans, the team of Daadi Ki Shaadi ended up spending more time together because of the simple arrangements at the location. The actors stayed in nearby cottages instead of hotels, creating a warm and personal atmosphere during filming.

Speaking about the experience, Kapil Sharma shared that the shoot became special because everyone was constantly around each other. During a conversation with SCREEN, he explained that the location did not even have enough space for vanity vans, which unexpectedly helped the cast bond naturally. According to him, what could have felt inconvenient ended up being one of the best parts of the schedule.

Why Ranbir Kapoor wanted mom Neetu to come back?

Neetu Kapoor agreed with Kapil and said the atmosphere reminded her of older film shoots from her early acting years. She recalled that she had not enjoyed a schedule this much since working on Kabhi Kabhie. The actress explained that today’s film sets are often more isolated because actors spend time separately in vanity vans, but the Shimla shoot allowed everyone to connect and spend quality time together.

However, the cheerful atmosphere briefly changed after news of the India-Pakistan conflict began making headlines during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. As tensions rose, concern naturally spread among family members of those shooting away from home.

Kapil Sharma recalled that during that difficult period, Ranbir Kapoor had called his mother because he was worried about her wellbeing. Neetu later shared details of the emotional conversation.

According to the actress, Ranbir urged her to return home immediately and repeatedly asked her to “come back.”

Neetu, however, chose to remain calm and reassure her son. She told him, "This is the safest place right now, nobody is going to drop bombs here." Interestingly, despite the tense national situation, the film’s shoot continued without interruption. Neetu Kapoor revealed that none of the actors or crew members wanted to abandon the project midway.

Instead of leaving, the team decided to stay together and complete the film. She shared that everyone involved remained enthusiastic about the movie and continued working with full dedication despite the uncertainty around them.
