The director took to Instagram to share an adorable image of the picture-perfect family in festive mood.
In the picture shared on social media, the happy parents could be seen holding their twin sons - Uyir and Ulagam.
Vignesh hid the faces of his little ones, dressed in red, with Santa hat emojis. The new parents were twinning in grey.
His caption read, "Uyir, Ulagam, Nayan, Wikki & family wish you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. With love in abundance! And honest prayers to God to give everyone all the happiness and blessings to live a life that u have always dreamt about! Godbless."
The couple welcomed the twins earlier in October via surrogacy, four months after their wedding. Since then, they had been at the centre of a controversy that accused them of violating surrogacy laws to become parents. . Several questions were raised to understand whether the pair followed the surrogacy laws applicable in the country.
According to the latest surrogacy regulation bill, commercial surrogacy is banned in India, with effect from January 25, 2022. To go ahead with the process, the couples have to ensure that the surrogate should is at least married once and should have a child of her own.
Later, an investigation team set by the Tamil Nadu government gave a clean chit to the power couple and said they didn't break any surrogacy law in India.
