March at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Met) in New York will be special, not the least because it's hosting a retrospective of modern artist Nasreen Mohamedi's (1937-1990) works. The showing will also celebrate the opening of the Met's newly acquired space for contemporary art, the Met Breuer.

Sponsored by the Reliance Foundation, the retrospective only opens to the public on March 18, where you can view Mohamedi's delicate line drawings. "Nasreen Mohamedi has been an inspiration to me. In a patriarchal culture, she created strong and assertive works," said the foundation's chairperson Nita Ambani, while taking an exclusive tour of the 130-work retrospective. Added bonus: While perusing Mohamedi's art, a music installation by renowned jazz pianist Vijay Iyer will also bring The Met Breuer's lobby gallery alive.
