Naseeruddin apologises for Rajesh Khanna barb, Twinkle refuses to forgive

In a recent interview Naseeruddin Shah called Rajesh Khanna — Twinkle Khanna's father — a "limited, poor actor". After receiving backlash from Twinkle and Karan Johar on Twitter over his comments, Shah apologised. He was quoted as saying, "I apologise to those who were personally offended, and my intention was not to attack him (Rajesh Khanna)."

Twinkle, however, was in no mood to accept the apology. Soon came another tweet from her, where she said, "All due regard toMrShah's reality,mine=a man who loved cinema& did films likeAnand,AmarPrem,KatiPatang thank u folks for all the love."

She had earlier tweeted asking Shah not to disrespect an artiste who has passed away and cannot respond to such disparaging comments. Although Twinkle and Naseeruddin have never shared screen space but they shared the stage at a book launch earlier this year. However, Shah has worked with Twinkle's mother actress Dimple Kapadia in 'Finding Fanny' and her husband Akshay Kumar in films like 'Mohra' and 'Welcome Back'.
