The launch of luxury jewellery retailer Nirav Modi's new boutique in New York was attended by known names from Hollywood and Bollywood.

As scheduled, luxury jewellery retailer Nirav Modi opened a boutique on Madison Avenue, New York, on Tuesday night. The launch was attended by known names in Hollywood and Bollywood. Naomi Watts, the Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated actress, and supermodel Coco Rocha were among the international stars to grace the event. Indian glamour was represented by model turned actress Lisa Haydon and actress Nimrat Kaur of Homeland fame.

Other guests who came to congratulate Modi and look at his collection were Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr and his wife Vanessa. The launch was followed by a dinner for select guests on the rooftop of Rockefeller Centre. In order to make the US launch special, Modi displayed a Maharani diamond necklace and earring set valued at $1.65 million in the store window.

"Establishing a presence in the United States is a key milestone of our growth strategy as a leading international luxury brand," Modi said on the occasion of the launch.
