Nandan Nilekani says Google is the reason why he logged out of Friday Twitter quizzes

The Infosys boss discontinued his quizzes last year.

Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys, was Twitter-active before he made his comeback as the non-executive and non-independent chairman. Earlier, Friday quizzes on the social media platform was a regular activity for him.

The 63-year-old used to tweet a picture of a location or a landmark, usually obscure, asking followers to guess the place, without using Google. However, the top boss had discontinued the quizzes lately. Here's what he has to say about it.






“Technology has made me obsolete. It was becoming increasingly difficult to put questions together for the Friday quiz. Everyone was just looking up the answers on Google. It was becoming too easy for them to answer the questions. So that part of my life is over.”

Twitter's recent move of removing millions of suspicious account in its battle against fake new has led to many celebrities, politicians and social media influencers losing followers.


The move didn't spare Twitter's own account either, as the social media's official handle lost about 12 percent of its total followers - about 7.7 million.
