Namaste from the Himalayas! ITBP sets record by practising yoga at 22,850 ft altitude
Inspired by PM Modi’s vision of Yoga day the ITBP had been practising yoga in tough locales.

The official Twitter handle of ITBP tweeted about the feat and said, “Climbers of ITBP set a unique record ahead of 8th International Day of Yoga by practicing yoga at an altitude of 22,850 feet near Mount Abi Gamin in Uttarakhand with its theme: 'Yoga for Humanity'.”

Prior to their record-setting practice session, last month the personnels of ITBP practised yoga at a height of 15,000 feet in Uttarakhand. They did so amidst harsh and windy Himalayas conditions, on snow-capped mountains to usher in International Yoga Day, 2022.
This year, the Ministry of Ayush had chosen "Yoga for Humanity" as the theme of International Day of Yoga (IDY). The day will be celebrated on June 21.
