Nakul is the second wildcard contestant to enter the house this week, following television actor Manish Goel. However, it was his discussion about the controversial video and the legal case linked to it that became a talking point inside the house.
Nakul Dhull explains the context behind his controversial video
During a conversation with actors Asif Khan, Qazi Touqeer and other housemates, Nakul recalled how the controversy began. He said a man had told him that he was afraid of girls. Responding to that remark, Nakul pointed out that women often feel unsafe around men, especially when they are walking alone at night.Nakul explained that his comments, "Mera context ismein yeh tha ki tumne unko itna dara rakha hai, aur tum khud darr rahe ho. Theek hai?” (My context was that you’ve scared them so much, yet you’re the one claiming to be scared.)
The influencer said his remarks were later circulated with a different interpretation. He claimed that people presented his words as though he was encouraging others to chase or catch men, rather than making a point about women's safety.
While discussing the issue with his fellow contestants, Nakul said the version that spread online did not show what he had intended to convey. He maintained that his statement had been misunderstood and that the controversy grew after the video reached the people concerned.
His account offered the other contestants an explanation of how he viewed the incident. However, his comments inside the house represented his own account of the controversy.
Influencer says he is strongly 'pro-feminist'
Nakul further said, "Aur woh video un tak pahunch gayi, aisi Lanka lagi hai na.” (And when that video reached them, all hell broke loose.). Jo mujhe dekhta hai, usko pata hai ki main very pro-feminist hoon. Mera stand hai, kaafi zyada pro-feminist hoon.” (Those who watch me know that I am very pro-feminist. I have a clear stance, and I am strongly pro-feminist.)The influencer also recalled the backlash that followed the video's circulation. According to Nakul, the situation escalated after the clip reached the people involved, leading to a strong reaction.
His explanation comes at a time when his entry in Bigg Boss 20 has once again brought his social media presence and previous spat to the limelight. This show is a platform for the contestants to discuss their personal experiences with each other and Nakul took that opportunity to tell his side of the story during the discussion.
While he maintained that his words had been taken out of context, the controversy remains an important part of the public conversation surrounding his entry into the show.
Nakul Dhull speaks about the legal case
During the discussion, Nakul also mentioned the legal proceedings linked to the controversy. He said a case had been filed and that the hearing was still ongoing. He did not present the discussion as a resolution of the matter. Instead, he referred to the continuing legal process while explaining the consequences he had faced after the video attracted attention.
Nakul's wildcard entry comes after Manish Goel joined the house earlier this week. With both contestants entering during Weekend Ka Vaar, the show has introduced two new personalities into the competition.
