With this nomination, the song stands a good chance to win the grand slam of the decade - Golden Globes, Critic’s Choice Awards, and Oscar!

The other songs which secured a nomination were, 'Applause' (from the movie 'Tell It Like A Woman'), 'Hold My Hand' (from the film 'Top Gun: Maverick'), 'Lift Me Up' (from the movie 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'), and 'This Is Life' (from the film 'Everything Everywhere All At Once').

RRR Movie, the Twitter handle of the film tweeted, "We created history! Proud and privileged to share that #NaatuNaatu has been nominated for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards."

Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi Konidela (who is also 'RRR' lead Ram Charan's father) took to Twitter to share the happy news with his fans. "One step away from the pinnacle of cinematic glory," wrote the actor before congratulating the team.

Actor Kalyanram Nandamuri also left a hearty congratulations to the 'RRR' crew through Twitter.

However, sadly the movie failed to get a nomination in the category of Best Picture.

The 'Naatu Naatu' song is composed by MM Keeravani, penned by Chandrabose, and recorded by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj. While collecting the award at the Golden Globes, the composer dedicated the award to Rajamouli, who is also related to him.
