My palate is skewed towards Indian food, says Marriott's Gaurav Singh

Dum biryani at Dum Pukht and Mark knopfler’s guitar skills, Gaurav Singh (General Manager, Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield by Marriott) lists his favourites.

-Movie: The Shawshank Redemption. It’s a movie about hope.

-Clothes: The industry that I am in demands that I be well dressed. In my personal time, I prefer wearing t-shirts and shorts. Banana Republic is my top choice.

-Phone: I like the iPhone. As for apps, I use golf pad, banking apps and Uber.

-Restaurant: My palate is still skewed towards Indian food. I like homemade dal and roti. A close second is the dum biryani at Dum Pukht.

-Music: Dire Straits, because of Mark Knopfler’s clean guitar skills.

-Holiday: I love New York for its high energy and welcoming nature. My favourite holiday destination, however, is Germany. Its rich culture, music, food and beer are great attractions. Munich is one of the greatest cities I have been to.
