‘My husband will be happy to see my face.’ On Meghan Markle podcast, Deepika Padukone rubbishes rumours of split with Ranveer Singh

Rumours about Bollywood power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh splitting up recently did the rounds on the Internet after some unconfirmed media reports about trouble brewing in paradise went viral on social media.
Recently the ‘Om Shanti Om’ star silenced all naysayers. In a podcast session, she revealed that both she and her husband had been away from home for quite some time due to various professional commitments.
“My husband was at a music festival for a week and he has just come back. So he’s gonna be happy to see my face,” the actress was quoted as saying in a special podcast episode, ' The Decoding Of Crazy' which she recorded with former actress and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. The ‘Piku’ actress was one of the guests invited to feature in Markle’s podcast series ‘Archetypes’ which focuses on the double standards women face in society.
In the same podcast, Padukone also discussed at length about her mental health struggles. "I woke up one morning and everything was going well. My films were a success. Personally, beautiful relationships, supportive family. Like it just sort of came out of the blue. I woke up, I fell. I — you know, my blood pressure dropped. And then the next thing I know. My life just felt meaningless," the 'Chennai Express' revealed.
Singh has also recently dismissed rumours of a rift brewing with his wife. At the FICCI Frames fast track event, the ‘ RamLeela’ star spoke about them celebrating 10 years of togetherness. “Touchwood… we met and started dating in 2012… so 2022 is ten years of me and Deepika,” he said.
On the work front, Singh is busy with his next project ‘Cirkus’. The movie will also star Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez. He will also be seen in the Karan Johar-directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ along with Alia Bhatt.
Padukone is looking forward to a grand line-up. She will be seen in the SRK-starrer ‘Pathaan’ which releases early next year. Besides this, she will also star in the Telugu sci-fi film, ‘ Project K’, along with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. This movie will be Padukone’s Telugu debut. The film will also feature ‘Ek Villain 2’ star Disha Patani. Made at a budget of Rs 500 crore, ‘Project K’ is one of the most expensive Indian movies ever made.
Like the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, the B-town celebrities and business personalities enjoyed the visarjan (immersion of the idol) with fanfare.
