Actor-politician Rajinikanth is ringing in his 69th birthday today and his fans and friends from the film fraternity can't keep calm. On the actor's special day, birthday greetings poured in on social media from actors and directors, as well as politicians. On Instagram, the daughter duo shared pictures with their father. While Soundarya, the younger one, created an album of special moments with her megastar father, Aishawarya's post zeroed on a single picture.

Aishwarya, who is married to actor-singer Dhanush, vowed to follow her 'Appa' forever. She wrote, "Will follow forever ... just to see that smile .. happy birthday Appa!"

Soundarya, who exchanged vows with actor Vishagan Vanangamudi earlier this year in February, shared a series of pictures while wishing her father on his birthday. "Happy birthday my life, my father... My everything," she wrote.

Dhanush, who rose to fame with the song 'Kolaveri' in 2012, also tweeted a birthday greet for Thalaiva.
