Mutual admiration club: Big B & Prabhas shower each other with words of praise during 'Project K' shoot

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and 'Baahubali' actor Prabhas have started work on their upcoming film on Friday.

The Big B took to social media to reveal that it was their first shot together, on the first day of filming of the tentatively titled movie, 'Project K'.

The 79-year-old said that this was his first film with the South star, and felt honoured to be in the company of his aura. He further added that he would learn a lot from the talented and humble artist.


"First day. First shot. First film with the 'Baahubali' Prabhas, and such an honour to be in the company of his aura, his talent and his extreme humility... to imbibe to learn," the actor tweeted.


The Telugu star returned the favour with a dedicated Instagram post to Bachchan.

Alongside an iconic picture of the Big B, the 42-year-old said that it was his 'dream come true' to complete the first shot of 'Project K' with the legendary star.

The upcoming movie is a mega canvas, pan India project. It will also star Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone.

Prabhas recently completed filming for the first schedule of 'Project K' with Padukone in Hyderabad.

Last year in July, the 42-year-old actor had given the clap for Bachchan's Mahurat shot of the film at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.

Aswini Dutt, producer and founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, is backing the project which marks the 50th year of the production house.

Bachchan and Padukone have previously starred in filmmaker Shoojit Sircar's 2015 comedy drama 'Piku'.

The yet-untitled multilingual movie will be directed by film-maker Nag Ashwin, known for helming the National Award-winning 2018 biographical drama 'Mahanati'.

A massive set is constructed at Ramoji Filmcity in Hyderabad for the sci-fi project. It is touted to be one of the most-expensive Indian films of all time.
