Mumbai's Dr Bhau Daji Lad museum to get a Crown!

One of the most active cultural hotspots in Mumbai, Dr Bhau Daji Lad (BDL) museum, has been conferred an award that's usually given to corporations.

The museum will receive the International Quality Crown award in the gold category this year, for its focus on quality, continuous innovation and customer satisfaction, which in this case would be visitors. The past awardees include ArcelorMittal and The Sheraton Hotel.

The award, organised by Business Initiative Directions, will be presented at the London convention in November. Perhaps this award can smoothen the thorny relationship between the museum and the BMC, which decides its budget, and help it receive regular funding.
