Mumbai Police's musical act impresses Harsh Goenka, industrialist calls them 'real-life' James Bond

Mumbai Police has, time and again, amazed Twitterati with its witty sense of humour, and impeccable timing. But, this time, it is their musical talent that's winning hearts on social media.

Earlier this week on Monday, Khaki Studio of the Mumbai Police Band played an orchestra cover of the 'James Bond Theme' by composer Monty Norman.

The two-minute-long theme was arranged by head constable Zameer Shaikh.


A week after its official release, RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka on Friday took to social media to laud the men in uniform's musical talent.

Praising their "wonderful James Bond music", the 63-year-old businessman called Mumbai Police the real-life James Bonds who catch bad guys.


The musical side of Mumbai Police received a lot of love from its 5 million followers on the micro-blogging site.





Across Twitter and YouTube, fans also shared other songs that they would like Khaki Studio to do a rendition.


In April this year, Mumbai Police had impressed business tycoon Anand Mahindra with its witty reply to a user during the peak of the second Covid wave. After the Mumbai cops had decided to use colour-coded stickers to make it easy for essential vehicles to move around the city, the user had asked them suggestions on the ideal sticker he should use to travel to meet his girlfriend.


The reply garnered a lot of buzz online.
