The hotel says that they also encourage their guests and associates to follow all norms which includes the ongoing curfew.
Last week, the Mumbai Police raided the Dragonfly club in the early hours of Tuesday, at around 2.30 am, and booked cricketer Suresh Raina along with other celebrities under Section 188 of IPC, Bombay Police Act and Epidemic Disease Act.
It was erroneously reported that the club was located in the JW Marriott.
“At JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, we have always been 100% compliant with every government regulation that has been enforced during the span of this year. The hotel is not associated in any way with the nightclub Dragon Fly and our name being mentioned is a misrepresentation of facts,” Dietmar Kielnhofer, General Manager, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar tells ET Panache,
The hotel says that they make sure that they abide by the government rules and would like to inform the public that the hotel operates as a separate entity and has no association with the operations of the Dragonfly club.
“The safety and security of our guests and associates is our priority and we are taking every step to ensure that the same is not harmed. We understand that the government has imposed these restrictions to safeguard the public and it is our responsibility to adhere to the restrictions imposed and protect our guests and associates,” he adds.
The hotel says that they also encourage their guests and associates to follow all norms which includes the ongoing curfew. “The team has worked hard to create a safe environment for our visitors whereas miscommunication of this nature can easily destroy the sense of confidence we have built amongst our discerning guests,” says Kielnhofer.
