Mumbai fashion entrepreneurs collaborate to bring out festive line

Two young entrepreneurs coming together to join forces is always exciting news. Akshay Narvekar, the brains behind Bombay Shirt Company has collaborated with Sandeep Gonsalves of SS Homme to launch a special festive collection Ceremonia. BSC is known for its blend of classic and contemporary shirt styles, allowing buyers to customise everything from the fit, to the collar and cuff style of their shirt. SS Homme, on the other hand offers a bespoke solution to men's wardrobes.

The collection, which is a result of their collaboration -- Ceremonia -- has 12 shirts in various tailored, evening and classic button down styles, crafted from high quality Egyptian cotton. The shirts will be available in three different sizes and come in an assortment of colours, textures, prints and weaves such as houndstooth and herringbone. Accents such as leather patches, pin-tucks and stylised collars make them stand out further more.

Starting at Rs 4,000 onwards, the shirts will be available at the Bombay Shirt Company retail and online outlets and the SS Homme flagship store in Bandra, Mumbai.

When asked what his idea of festive dressing was, Narvekar said that he likes to play it safe, but add an edge to his outfits at the same time. "My idea of festive dressing is an extension of my style with a hint of edge. I prefer light pastel shades in cottons and linens, and pair the shirt with an edgy collar, like the Evil Pandit in a contrast colour or print, or the classic bandhgala in leather." Looks like Narvekar is all set to surprise and stun with his festive wardrobe this Diwali.
