Rajan, a Rhodes scholar who has been with the Tata group for two decades, is a member of the Group Executive Council and Brand Custodian and Chief Ethics Officer. But like everyone with a stellar career, Rajan too has to make sacrifices. He no longer gets time for one of his favourite hobbies — playing badminton.

There was a time when he and his brother, the RBI governor Raghuram Rajan, played the sport with some degree of regularity. The guv still occasionally plays tennis at MSLTA or squash at Bombay Gymkhana.
