Mrs Fadnavis is 'in awe of' Axis Bank head Shikha Sharma

At the Economic Times Awards last month, while the corporate world got up close with Maharashtra's new CM Devendra Fadnavis, his wife Amruta Fadnavis, who is a banker by profession, was completely at home in the company of the who's who of her sector.

Fadnavis, who currently works as an associate vice president at the bank's premier branch in Nagpur, was especially thrilled to hobnob with Axis Bank, MD & CEO, Shikha Sharma, her boss, over dinner.

Speaking over the phone from Nagpur, she tells ETPanache, "I have met Shikha ma'am before. But, it was the first time that I interacted with her one-on-one for 15-20 minutes."

So what did they talk about? "She enquired about my shift to Mumbai and my profile, once I join work here," says Fadnavis. Will the dynamic between her and Sharma change? Fadnavis dismisses the possibility. "I am in awe of Shikha ma'am," she says.
