The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the latest super heroes to hit the big screen this season, are back after a long gap. And they prove that the wait has been worth it. Even though the half shells have now become modern as had been warned by producer Michael Bay, the reboot of the popular franchise doesn't hurt your nostalgic memory.

Instead, under Jonathan Liebesman's (Wrath of the Titans helmer) direction, this installment takes you on a fast-paced ride. And there's lot more action to savour.

Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have taken control of New York and the four mutated warrior brothers — Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michaelangelo — rise from the sewers to fight them out. They have the help of the fearless journalist April O'Neil (Megan Fox) and her smart cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), who's vying for her attention.

With their collective efforts the city will be rid of evil forces. Even with the new twists in the plot, the story remains simple. The good part is, there's lightheartedness, leg-pulling and battle for power among the brothers.

As usual, the film takes the special effects and 3D to another level. And it all looks realistic. While it seems watered down in comparison to its predecessors, it's a feel good flick .
