Note everything that Hollywood has taught you. One important lesson it doesn't want you to forget is that Liam Neeson is a family man. Mess with his 'family' at your own peril. Run All Night inevitably brings back memories one wanted to forget with Taken. This time though, it isn't the daughter or the wife, but his son who needs help.

Liam Neeson is Jimmy Conlon or 'The Gravedigger' as he is af fectionately called. Jimmy was a oncevdreaded mobster who is best friends with mob leader Shawn Maguire (Harris). Jimmy has enough trouble on his plate already with his fickle tongue, alcohol issues and a son, Michael Conlon (Joel 'Robocop' Kinnaman), who doesn't want to have anything to do with his old man. Mikey soon gets unintentionally involved in an incident that eventually leads to daddy bumping off Maguire's outof-line son. Maguire now bays for Michael's blood and it is up to The Gravedigger to save the day.

What part of the plot does not sound familiar? Neeson is back doing all that we know he does, including picking up that phone and warning how he is coming for the baddies (Remember "I don't know who you are..."). By the way, once again, it is the Albanians who cause the melee. They just don't learn.

Nonetheless, Neeson looks sincere as Conlon. Harris, too, is the cool customer as the brutal gang leader. Watch him juggle being a helpless father, and a concerned friend to a man out for revenge with ease.

All Taken references aside, Run All Night is still a fast-paced thriller except certain parts one wishes would have been edited better and is definitely worth a watch. Neeson's 'family' though must realise it is high time they stay out of trouble.
