Move over, Clooney-Pitt! The all-women 'Ocean's 8' cast is a powerful deal

Ocean's 8 might be the ultimate girl-power spin off afterall! The movie, set to release on June 8, 2018, has an all-star cast featuring Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina.

Singer Rihanna took to Twitter to share the first picture showing the all-female cast inside a subway.

The film is a spin-off of the famous 'Ocean's' trilogy with Gary Ross at the helm. Olivia Milch and Ross, together, have written the screenplay.

Bullock's character is the leader of a group of thieves and cons who try to pull off a major heist. Damian Lewis will play Bullock's former lover and the target of the gang's robbery.

The 'Ocean's' trilogy is a series of three comedy heist films, released from 2001 to 2007, directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by Jerry Weintraub for Warner Bros.

Taking the cue from the earlier 'Ocean's' series that was packed with a star-cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle & Bernie Mac among others, 'Ocean 8' will bring us the ravishing divas.

Will the all girl-power movie manage to overshadow the phenomenal response of 'Ocean's Twelve' & 'Ocean's Thirteen', only time will tell.
