Moushumi Chatterjee receives the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award

The 61th Britannia Filmfare Awards are being held tonight and among the long list of winner is one sparkling name that has been bestowed with the Life Time Achievement Award... Moushumi Chatterjee. The actress, who was last seen playing Deepika Padukone's happening aunt in 'Piku,' took home the coveted black lady and looking back at her contribution to the industry, it would be safe to say that she very well deserved it.



After accepting the award from her 'Piku' director, Shoojit Sircar, the veteran actress said, "At last mujhe mil hi gayi. I thank Filmfare jury and my audience. Aap sab khush rahein vyast rahein aur mast rahein."

Moushumi made her acting debut in 1967 with a Bengali film, 'Balika Badhu.' She then made her B-Town debut with Shakti Samanta's 'Anuraag' in 1972 and there's been no looking back for the actress ever since.
