Formula One champ Jenson Button kickstarts his day with half a litre of water and a concoction called bullet coffee. It contains espresso, coconut oil and butter. The 2009 world champion picked up the habit after reading about its benefits in a magazine and hearing about them from triathletes.Button is a regular triathlete too.

In an interview set up by Chandon, one of Button's sponsors, at the Singapore GP, Button told ETPanache, “The water clears the system and the coffee drops the insulin level. Whereas having sugar in the morning raises your insulin level, which gives you a kick but you get a massive drop after and you need sugar again. So instead of having this peak-drop cycle and eating bad food, you have this (bullet coffee).
I love it.“ Button, however, agrees that the brew will be blasphemous in Italy, one of his favourite countries and a land where coffee is sacrosanct .
