More reasons to gush over Virat and Anushka's wedding: Here's every detail of what they wore

Elegance, sophistication and simplicity - Indian cricket team's captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma's fairytale wedding has set new benchmark for all future celebrity marriages.

Ever since the details about the wedding broke out, fans have been in awe of how happy and gorgeous the couple looked.

The bride and groom entrusted fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee with the responsibility of planning the aura, clothes and accessories for the nuptials - mehendi, sangeet, engagement, wedding and post-wedding dinner. The designer ensured Sharma and Kohli sported a different look at every function.

Mehendi Day

Sharma showed her love for bright colours during mehendi. Boho-look and hot pink was the theme for the function.

"We created a graphic lehenga in fuchsia pink and Indian orange. It was hand-printed by the famed Calcutta block printers and hand-embroidered with gota and marori. Artists from The Sabyasachi Art Foundation rendered a beautiful sixties pop-print on hand-woven Indian silk," an Instagram post by label Sabyasachi described the look.

The beautiful bride opted for a pair of jhumkas crafted in 22k gold with Iranian turquoise, tourmalines, uncut diamonds and Japanese cultured pearls from the Sabyasachi Heritage Jewelry collection. She completed her look with tailor-made juttis in hand-woven brocade and zardosi.

The groom wore a signature khadi kurta churidaar with a classic fuchsia pink textured silk Nehru jacket detailed with blazer buttons (by Sabyasachi House). He matched his attire with a custommade tan leather jutti with a zardosi crest.

Engagement Day

The style diva stayed true to one of the most luxurious fashion trends of 2017. She opted for a velvet saree with signature Gulkand Burgundy for the engagement.

"The drape was hand-embroidered using miniature pearls, and the finest quality zardosi and marori," mentioned Sabyasachi's Insta post.

She completed her look with a stunning uncut diamond and pearl choker with matching studs, kohl-rimmed eyes, red roses and micro dot bindi.

Few online news portals have also quotes sources saying that Kohli looked for three months to find the perfect ring for his 'ladylove'. The engagement ring is estimated to be around Rs 1 crore.

Wedding Day

Truly, the Sabyasachi couple!

The 29-year-old actress looked stunning in the pale pink lehenga with Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colours, and embellishments with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads.

The bridal jewellery (necklace, earrings and mathapatti) was handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls.

In the backdrop of lush Tuscan Hydrangeas, the bride wore fresh flowers in her hair.

The groom looked dapper in an ivory raw silk sherwani with hand-embroidered, vintage, Benarasi pattern, signature buttons (from Sabyasachi House), and a rose-silk, Kota safa (turban).

The wedding took place on December 11 at a heritage resort Borgo Finocchieto in a restored 13th century Tuscan village in Italy.
