Mohanlal overwhelmed with love for 'Drishyam 2', says cinema lovers always appreciate good work

The film is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph.

Mohanlal said it was the "love and support of the cinema-loving public that continues to inspire" him to constantly better himself.
South superstar Mohanlal, basking in the success of his recently-released 'Drishyam 2', took to Twitter to share his excitement.

The 60-year-old actor, who returned as Georgekutty in the sequel to his 2013 film, called the success of 'Drishyam 2' "a testament to the fact that cinema lovers across the world always appreciate good work and support it."



Going on to add that it was the "love and support of the cinema-loving public that continues to inspire" him to constantly better himself.

'Overwhelmed and overjoyed' by the response to the film, that has released on Amazon Prime Video, Mohanlal, in a tweet, said, "My sincere thanks to all for the outpouring of love. It means a lot to all of us on team Drishyam. To the entire team, my congratulations and grateful thanks."

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film - also starring Meena and Ansiba - is a sequel to the super-hit 'Drishyam' (2013), that was remade in Hindi with Ajay Devgn.

Joseph recently took to Instagram to announce the Telugu remake of the film. Joseph has teamed up with Telugu superstar Venkatesh for it.
