'Modi'fication of quintessential American symbols

This is Wolf of Wall Street II. If Modi could gallop to the high chair despite a lot of bulls**t from his opponents and party members alike, handling a bull is no biggie.

'Modi'fication of quintessential American symbols
Never mind what America’s reaction to NaMo’s US visit was, the Indian community there went hysterical. Here is a Modi-fication of quintessentially American symbols.

MOUNT RUSHMORE

It’s exit Teddy, enter Modi at this famous monument carved out of Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Most days, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore ‘Teddy’ Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln gaze out from the mountain face. During Modi’s visit, he super-subbed Roosevelt in the line-up, in a manner of speaking.

STATUE OF LIBERTY

Where there is Modi, there is tea. So when he sailed into America, so did a glass of cutting chai, settling into Lady Liberty’s hands.

SEX AND THE CITY

These scenes showing Carrie Bradshaw enjoying cupcakes with her friends gave the confection a new lease of life. Had NaMo been in the frame, he’d have had to be content with just being a spectator. He is vegetarian and was on a fast during his US trip.

WALL STREET

This is Wolf of Wall Street II. If Modi could gallop to the high chair despite a lot of bulls**t from his opponents and party members alike, handling a bull is no biggie.

HOLLYWOOD SIGN

If world politics was a film, Modi and India are one of its lead players. Add the fact that some Indian businessmen like Anil Ambani are bankrolling Hollywood films. It is not a stretch to imagine Modi’s slogan emblazoned across Hollywood Hills.
