Modi biopic release: SC refuses to interfere, calls stay plea 'premature'

Director Karan Johar recently became India's first filmmaker to get a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds museum in London. The statue sported the 46-year-old's iconic pose, where he can be seen clicking a selfie. Donning a black velvet coat, the statue was just as stunning as the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' director.

A few days ago, superstar Mahesh Babu unveiled his wax statue at Madame Tussauds museum in Singapore. With this, he becomes the second Telugu star to be immortalised with a wax figure.

The 43-year-old actor's statue donned a subtle black suit.

The Padmaavati of Bollywood added another feather to her cap this year when she unveiled her wax statue at Singapore's Madame Tussauds museum. The actress's statue sported a replica of her champagne-coloured cape lehenga which she wore to the 2016 IIFA Awards.

Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas became the latest celebrity to join the long list of Indian personalities at Madame Tussauds. The 'Barfi' actress's wax statue, unveiled at the NYC museum, sports a red dress and even features a replica of the ring her husband Nick Jonas gave her.

Along with New York, Chopra's statue will also debut at the museum in the UK, Australia and Asia.

The 'Shahenshah' of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, was the first star from the Indian film industry to get a wax figure at the museum in London. He was also the first living Asian celebrity to feature there.

Later, the 'Piku' star went on to get his wax statues at the Tussauds museums in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Washington DC, San Francisco and New Delhi.

Actress and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the first lady to join the array of Indian personalities with a wax sculpture at the Madame Tussauds Museum in London.

The 45-year-old actress got her first statue at the museum in 2004. She went on to get statues at the museum in New York in 2010, and later in New Delhi.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was honoured with a wax figure at the Madame Tussauds Museum in London in 2012.

Another statue of him was unveiled at the museum in New Delhi in 2017.

The 'Bhaijaan' of Bollywood, Salman Khan, was rated the world's 7th best looking man by People's Magazine in 2004. Following this, he was honoured with a wax statue at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London in 2008.

In 2012, another figure of him was unveiled in New York.

Actor Varun Dhawan got a wax replica of himself at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong in 2018, making him the youngest Bollywood actor to feature at the museum. The figure sported his iconic 'Disco Deewane' pose from his debut movie 'Student Of The Year'.
